Partner speaking: Koen Arkesteijn

By Nick Velthuizen Aug. 19, 2022

At Qooqie, we are fully committed to long-term partnerships. But who are these partners anyway? They are all marketing agencies that look beyond their nose. Agencies that not only look at online conversions, but also understand that the telephone is an important acquisition channel for conversion in many industries. Together, we help get the most out of this. Our partnership with The Conversion Department is a great example of this. They were one of Qooqie's first partners. For over 4 years, we have been helping them to map and optimize their clients' telephone conversions. In addition, they were one of the beta testers of our new product. Time for our partner manager Nick Velthuizen to put their online marketer Koen Arkesteijn through his paces.

Introducing

"My name is Koen Arkesteijn and I have been working as an online marketer at The Conversion Department for about 2 years now. Here I am the permanent point of contact for all clients in my portfolio. My specializations are in Google paid advertising and conversion rate optimization (CRO).

The Conversion Department is a full-service online marketing agency in Rotterdam. Our clients are in different corners, from B2C to B2B, e-commerce companies and industry. Because we have all the expertise and knowledge in the field of online marketing in-house, we are able to relieve them of all their worries. So we offer all the advantages of a large marketing agency, but without the disadvantages that often come with it. We noticed that clients who used to work for a larger agency felt more like a number and did not really feel the involvement of the agency. That is precisely where our added value lies. We distinguish ourselves by staying in close contact with our clients. Short lines, being able to switch quickly and putting the pain point in the right place."

"Qooqie and we share the same philosophy"

You guys have been a valued partner of ours for years. Why exactly did you choose Qooqie? Koen: "In a nutshell: because it's clear what you can deploy with Qooqie. You can translate it one on one to the customer, so they know immediately what added value call tracking provides. We can also clearly translate the insights into the results of our campaigns. And, of course, the cooperation aspect. Discussing every month whether the performance of our customers is still going well, providing support in setting up new accounts, staying abreast of new possibilities, such as Lead Automation. You differentiate yourself in the same way we do for our customers - and it works."

"Qooqie's new tool provides 10% more hard leads"

Call tracking is not the only tool we are working on. In recent months we have been working hard on a new tool: Lead Automation. Simply put, this is a widget on your website that allows visitors to (always) submit a contact request at any time. Also (or maybe 'especially') outside opening hours. Lead automation then automatically ensures that you get in touch with your lead at exactly the right time. This prevents lead leakage: the leakage of warm leads to the competitor. You were one of the first to test this product. What are your experiences?

Koen: "We tested this tool for a month and a half with one of our customers. I quickly noticed that Lead Automation generates substantially more phone calls and solid leads. In concrete terms, it was almost 20% more calls. These calls were responsible for 10% more warm leads. Also from my CRO role Lead Automation is a very good addition, without us having to do an A/B test for it. Normally you often do. I do understand the success of your new tool. People like the convenience or they don't really dare to call themselves. The widget ensures that they are automatically called to make an appointment, for example.

"Qooqie really profiles itself as a partner, allowing us to seize opportunities together"

Glad to hear that our new product is resonating with you! Did you also like the testing? Did you feel that something was done with your feedback? Koen: "Definitely! The functionality of the tool was just fine, not much needed to be improved. The feedback was mainly about bugfixing. You always have that with a new product. Something has certainly been done with that, because everything now works as it should. Small things that were still not quite right were dealt with quickly. In addition, our customer came up with an extra functionality that they would like to see in the new product. You also realized this very quickly and professionally."

At Qooqie, we think it's important to listen carefully to our partners. This is how we put the finishing touches on our new product. For that reason, we also always have a monthly chat. Any wishes or challenges come to light quickly, so that we or you can respond to them. Is that something you recognize from other software suppliers? Koen: "Let me put it this way ... If only I could recognize this at other companies. Unfortunately, this is far from common at all companies. The commitment is really something you excel at. We are busy too. Every day we are busy with our customers. We don't always notice if a specific tool is not working optimally or if performance is below par. Then it's nice if we can solve that together, instead of having to find out for ourselves over time. We really see Qooqie as a partner with whom we can seize opportunities together, not just as a supplier."
